These whole grain biscuits turn out very light in texture and are great for the school box. I have made these biscuits using ragi flour, atta, sugar and ghee. You can also use jaggery powder instead of sugar. I made these similar to this Nankhatai and they taste very delicious.

Ingredients of Ragi flour biscuits

  1. You need 200 gm of wheat flour.
  2. Prepare ,1 of /2 cup ragi flour.
  3. You need 2 Tsp of all purpose flour.
  4. You need 80 gm of butter.
  5. Prepare 80 gm of sugar.
  6. It's 2 Tsp of chopped dryfruits.
  7. Prepare 1 Tsp of vanilla extract.
  8. It's 1 pinch of salt.

Sieve ragi flour and dry roast till the raw smell goes away. Sieve wheat flour and mix it with ragi flour and add baking powder to it. Add butter, vanilla essence and maple syrup to the flour mix. Mix all the above ingredients till butter has completely melted.

Ragi flour biscuits step by step

  1. In a bowl put butter & sugar mix it till fluffy..
  2. Now mix flour, extract,salt,mix it very well..
  3. Keep it in the fridge for 30 miniutes..
  4. Now after 30 miniutes take it out..
  5. Roll it out some thick approximately 1 cm..
  6. Cut it with the help of cookies cutter..
  7. Sprinkle dry fruits in it..
  8. Put it in the oven at 150 degree for 15 miniutes.check it continuesly..
  9. After 15 miniutes switch off the oven & keep the biscuits 1 miniute more in the oven..
  10. Take it out from the oven..
  11. Put it in the cooling rack..
  12. Now healthy version of biscuits are ready to eat..
